Colour Pop Creme Gel & Eyeliners

When these launched on the 23rd I had to drop everything I was doing and order immediately. We all know how trying to order on a release date goes.

After the blink of an eye all of your favorites are out of stock.

As many of you may know Colourpop is my bae *inserts heart face emoji* with their affordable products and amazing quality they’ve turned me into an addict.

I managed to snag Kicker and Show Me liner as well as Over Board, Get Paid, & Dirty Talk Creme Gel Colour.

I have patiently waited for their arrival on the 27th per my usps tracking that I’ve been stalking. Now that's fast shipping!

I wanted to share the color options with you in case you wanted to snag any for yourself.

These can be used as an eyeshadow base or a liner but I’ve seen some unconventional uses like changing the color of your eyebrows and lipstick.

Beautycon NYC 2015

In case you missed it, Last weekend was BEAUTYCON NYC!!!!

NYC is the 4th location to have this wonderful event take place and the 1st location on the east coast of the U.S.

BeautyCon is where content creators and their subscribers get to bond over the most obvious thing they have in common.

The love of all things beauty!

There were so many booths I couldn’t even get to them all from NYX to QVC BeautyCon had everything.

My favourite station was the Essie self manicure station everyone knows Essie has the cutest colours.

I had a great time and met some of my favs, got a whole bunch of cool free stuff, and left inspired and motivated.

All these women are amazing at what they do and I’ve linked their info for you to check them out.

Oh So Smokey

So I FINALLY got my hands on the new Urban Decay Naked Smoky eyeshadow palette when it first came out and it's safe to say I love it.

I am such a big fan of all the Urban Decay Naked palettes and I do officially have them all now!

I always like to mix together different colours from different palettes depending on the look I'm going for.

I always have to have a really dark smoky eye for the evening so I usually stick with Naked 1 and 2 for this (and now Naked Smoky) as Naked 3 is a slightly lighter palette. Get your Naked Smoky palette Here

I think they are so good for £38.00 because they last such a long time.

My Naked 2 has lasted 2 years now and even when you end up running out of one of the colours you can buy most of them on their own from Urban Decay.

Primer Problems

Nothing is worse than going outside in 90 degree+ weather with a beat face then later looking in the mirror to missing blush and foundation.

A great base for your makeup goes a long way, making application smoother and increasing longevity in the wear of each product you apply.

But please be sure to choose the right primer for your skin type or things could go totally left. Just cause I love you all I've listed some of the best primers I’ve tried that work for a range of skin types along with a little makeup vocab cheat sheet to help you choose a primer if not listed below.

Mattifying - If you have severely dry skin please put the product down and run for the hills. This word when used to describe a product works best for our oily/combination gals.

Poreless/Pore Minimizing - When you feel like the person across from you can see your pores pick up the Benefit Porefessional Primer or anything that has pore minimizing qualities you’ll thank me later.

Hi-Def/Photo Finish - Great for photos or filming.

Hydrating- Great for the girl with dry skin. Also a kills time by eliminating using moisturizer and
primer.

Smoothing- For our acne prone ladies who need a smooth canvas to work with.

Strobing Is The New Highlight

If strobe lights came to mind when you read the title you're already headed in the right direction!

As I’m sure many of you have heard the not so new makeup technique that is sweeping social media is strobing.

Strobing is basically identical to highlight and contour hold the darker shades.

Strobing is suppose to luminize the face and only concentrate on areas where light is reflected.

I’ve personally been strobing forever and never knew there was a name for it.

Since August is one of the hottest months of the year skip the contour and save you face from melting with my favorite products to strobe with.

If you need help figuring out what areas to concentrate on this diagram below is very helpful.

Be Nude...

Bet you thought I meant something else? I’m talking about the whole nude on the lips phenomenon that has been brought upon us.

Nudes have been around for as long as red lipsticks, but thanks to the Kardashian- Jenner clan (especially Miss. Kylie) this past year they’ve gained more reception than ever before.

A variety of different shades available, nudes are no longer the universal beige color that was once the only option.

Ranging from dark to light, from brown to blush, there’s flattering shades for everyone.

I've linked below a few brands that have nudetastic shades. ;)

Coco for Coco

Coconut oil has long been a natural beauty secret that has been used and loved by many. It is one of those products that can be classified as a "superfood" and has many, many ways of being put to good use. Coconut oil is truly the definition of "one-man show."

Coconut oil is best known for cooking, but did you know that you can use it almost anywhere on your body? From makeup remover to hair mask, I'll list below some of the ways you can incorporate this healthy option into your daily routine.

Moisturizer (Goodbye dry everything!)

Dry skin? No problem. When solid at room temperature, it's creamy texture makes for the perfect opportunity to slather yourself and revive your skin. After shower apply oil all over and leave in overnight for most effective results, and wash out in the morning. There is no need to apply any creams or oils afterwards.
You can also apply it on chapped and dry lips as a lip balm, or cuticle cream for nails and feet.

Hair Mask

Coconut oil is solid at room temperate, but once heated it turns very liquidy. After shampooing, massage coconut oil into your hair and twist hair into bun or sidebraids. For best results, leave in overnight and wash out in the morning. (Warning: It takes me about two showers to fully get rid of the oil in my hair).

Makeup Remover

A teaspoon is all you need to get rid of your day's makeup. A healthy, all natural solution and no need to worry about accidently getting chemicals in your eyes. Piece of cake.

Body Scrub

Mix coconut oil and sea salt, and voila! You've got yourself a scrub.

Undereye Cream

No need to spend your hard earned dollar on expensive eye creams, you're local grocery stores have got you covered with an inexpensive option: coconut oil. Warm up the oil in your hands a little before lightly applying under the eyes. No more fine lines, dark circles and puffiness.

Shaving Cream

Shave and moisturize at the same time? Sounds good to me. Since the oil is so smooth, you'll have no problem achieving a close shave. The closer the shave, the less cuts. ;)

There you got it! Some of the few ways you're able to use this magical oil.

You Get What You Put In...

Rita Ora looked well put together as she represented her war-torn country and received an Ambassadorial Honour at the Kosovan Embassy in London, for raising awareness on issues her country faced and is currently facing.

She is an inspiration to chasing your dreams, I never knew this about her but when she was 1 her family fled Kosovo and came to the UK with very little, she is a true testament to living out your dreams and making them a reality.

It also goes to show that success does not happen over night, her first taste of fame happened when she appeared on Craig David's 'Awkward' in 2007 (didn't know that either) so she put the work in and now the rest is history. Seriously Ladies, if you've been dreaming, it's time to wake up and start working on your dreams and give it all that you've got!

Congrats Rita, this is well deserved!

Check out her outfit dets below, we are loving the power blue and nude make up...

Painting the Town Red… One Lip at a Time

Lipstick is a classic statement making accessory that has been around for centuries… Cleopatra was known for crushing beetles and ants to get the right shade of red.

We’ve come a long way since crushing insects and applying them as lip color (thankfully!) and celebs and various makeup companies have come up with shades that are sticking around for even more centuries to come.

Love the color but are you nervous about actually wearing it? Baby steps, my friend.

Begin with a sheer gloss in a red, it has the same tint of color but the sheerness makes it less dramatic.

From there on keep the rest of your face sans makeup and slowly play around with different eye shadows and bronzers, until you feel comfortable rocking a full face of makeup and ruby red lips.

My go to red? I always reach for the Russian Red. It’s been around since the 80’s and seriously looks great on all skin tones and all ages.

Ruby Woo is also a very popular, if not the most popular shade from the company.

I usually apply Kat Von D’s everlasting liquid lipstick on top of my lipstick for extra coverage and extended usage.

It goes on wet like a gloss but dries matte within minutes and stays on for hours.

Want more options, including lipsticks at drug store prices?

I’ve come up with top fav lipsticks ranging in prices and included photos of celebs that rock the red lip as a staple in their life.
